The History

The Cigar Night began nearly a decade ago when Nestor Mendoza hosted a modest Thursday gathering at The Tobacco Barn in Orange County called ‘Cigars With Cernovich’. Twenty men and women. $25 tickets. Bring your own bottle, bring your own stories.Mike Bolen walked into that first event and saw more than a cigar lounge, he saw a ritual waiting to happen. Nestor saw the magnetic pull of the Mike Cernovich audience. By the end of the night, the two were sketching out plans for the next ‘Cigars With Cernovich’.
It grew quickly.Every 6–8 weeks the tribe gathered again; Miami, Scottsdale, Napa Valley, Las Vegas, Los Angeles. What began as a small local gathering evolved into a traveling salon of free-thinking culture shapers. You’d see the notorious and the noble, quiet thinkers and loud champions, brokies sharing an ashtray with billionaires. No hierarchy. Only presence.Years of these nights formed a tapestry of personalities, philosophies, and unforgettable moments, and that tapestry became the foundation for The George, the private social club Mike Cernovich and Mike Bolen opened in 2024.
Today, Cigar Night still burns, more refined, more intentional, yet alive with the same spirit that began in that little Orange County lounge:
a room full of characters who change the world simply by being in it.
